12 weeks old,

Samantha and Keira during training session. My friend Cheri brought two of her dogs over to practice with the puppies, so each puppy met two new dogs and we practiced leash walking and manners. When the puppies first spotted a strange dog in our driveway they all alerted and ran to the fence barking, at that point I wondered how they would react if those dogs came into their area. But just like their mother, they had no trouble accepting a friendly visitor that I invited in. They were however not very interested in those two dogs, they showed more interest in the smaller dog than the German Shepherd. I was so impressed with all 4 of my puppies as they walked like champs on the leash, mostly ignoring the other dogs nearby. I hope they will be as good when I start taking them to group classes next week.

Teddy, or as I call him "my handsome boy"
Teddy wearing a harness, when puppies are that young I prefer using a harness to avoid injuries to their neck and trachea from a regular collar
Enya has no trouble finding a shady spot on a warm day
taking a break in the shade after digging for .......?

What gorgeous puppies. It makes me warmer just looking at pictures of all that sunshine, and thinking of puppies finding shade to stay cool. A nice break for those of us in northern climes.
